Empreinte is a program suitable for girls and boys
The team made sure to create workshops adapted to boys and girls of the targeted age group. The workshops particularly critisize gender inequality and sexual stereotypes.
Empreinte is an inclusive program that takes into account diversity
Following the CALACS approach, the program strives to be inclusive by taking into account different realities. It integrates diverses scenarios to include gender, cultural and sexual orientation as well as the ablities (with or without disabilities) of its characters.
A conception that respects conditions of effectiveness
Empreinte takes into account the conditions of effectiveness recognized in the field of violence prevention incuding: a global approach that includes youth as well as their environment, an adequate number of workshops with interactive activities, as well as, content adapted to the psychosexual development of youth.
A coconstruction that allies expertise from the field and from research
Empreinte combines the expertise and the knowledge of 26 CALACS, of the Quebec association of Sexual Assault Centers (Regroupement québécois des CALACS) with those of two researchers from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
In coherence with the mandatory contents in the sexual education (MEES)
Empreinte aligns with the compulsory content in Sexual Education of the Ministère de l’éducation et de l’enseignement supérieur (MEES), in relation to objectives and grades targeted. The MEES worked on themes, objectives and the essential contents in sexual education to be given to students from preschool to the end of secondary school.
