Empreinte – Agir ensemble contre les agressions à caractère sexuel is a new sexual violence prevention program for highschool students, their parents and school staff. This program was co-developed by professors Manon Bergeron and Martine Hébert from the Sexology department of UQAM in collaboration with the Québec Coalition of Sexual Assault Centers (RQCALACS) and the Service aux collectivités de l'UQAM.
The goal of the program is to reduce social tolerance towards different forms of sexual violence. In order to attain this goal three complimentary components were developed :
♦ Six in class workshops tackling the six important themes with students in an interactive and dynamic way.
♦ School Staff training, teaching and non-teaching.
♦ Videos for parents presenting the same themes as the student workshops. The goal of these videos is to help parents create opportunities do discuss sexual violence prevention with their teens.
The program is offered by 26 CALACS (Sexual Assault Centers) CALACS in schools accross the province, depending on their ressources and availability.
