Teachers and support staff hold a privileged place with youth, to inform, raise awareness, prevent, report and help. This training provides them with a comprehensive understanding of the issue of sexual violence, making clear the most appropriate interventions for everyday situations arising in schools. This training is also provided by trained counselors from the CALACS (Sexual Assault Centers).
WHY HAVE A TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR SCHOOLE STAFF?
Sexual education includes sexual violence prevention and it is part of Quebec schools mandate. Teachers and counselors are confronted with different manifestations of sexual voilence on a daily basis. The training offers participants a comprehensive understanding of sexual violence, as well as tools to help school staff prevent sexual violence and intervene with all students.
